Collated Fragments of a Spiritual Wanderer

The Collated Fragments of a Spiritual Wanderer; the term is derived from Liu Hsieh the traditional Chinese aesthetic ‘Spiritual wandering with things.’ Liu writes about how objects have a spiritual connection to their owner once they have passed. This book explores that idea with the ephemeral objects my Grandpa left behind. By sharing this, I am sharing an exploration of where I came from, but hope to also provide an ongoing dialogue about the history and place of Chinese people in New Zealand.
