Kitchen Diaspora

This project explores how food, nostalgia and cultural identity intertwine through a diasporic “cookbook” comprised of meals and dishes made by my mum, dad, sister and myself. It focuses on our family recipes that embodies the Thai culture I grew up immersed in, webbed between my own experience as a first generation Thai-New Zealander.
